Remove all bolts holding the endcaps on.
Pull the core out of the muffler
Remove the old packing and clean the holes of the cores
Measure and cut the new packing
Wrap the packing around the core and trim to fit
Fasten the packing with wire. Wrap the wire around the core in an X-shape.
Reinstall the cores and tighten the retaining bolts.
